INTRODUCTION:
------------
TGCWait is a multi-use Waiting for caller utilitie that was designed
for Telegard and Intermail Specific systems under a multi-tasker such
as Window's or OS/2, with up to 5 nodes. TGCWait shows all of Telegard
Daily stats, show's the last user on each node and what that node is
doing for up to 5 nodes. TGCWait show's who the last inbound and
outbound mail sessions were from. Show's Yesterday's and Today's mail
status, such as Calls in/out, Human Calls, Mail Calls, Good Sessions,
Etc.
REQUIREMENTS:
------------
At this point in time the only requirements that ANSI.SYS and SHARE be
installed in your config.sys.
Files Included
--------------
Below is a listing of all files for the this Game. If you are
missing ANY of these files (except for the DOC and FRM files), the
game will NOT function. Feel free to give out copies of the ENTIRE
archive package of this game but please make sure all the files
below are in that package:
SAMPLE.CFG - Un-edited and heavily commented sample of a CTL
Control file for setting up TGCWait and hereafter
referred to in the game documentation as GAME.CFG.
If you decide to use it, be sure to rename it to
TGCWAIT.CFG first!
FILE_ID.DIZ - Ascii Description File for BBS Sysops on TGCWait
HISTORY.DOC - TGCVote Version History information file
SYSOP.DOC - This text file you are reading
TGCWAIT.EXE - TGCWait Main Program and hereafter referred to in the
game documentation as GAME.EXE.
DSITES.TXT - List of sites where my games are distributed.
Installation
------------
--> NOTE: The word "game" is used in place of the program name
for both the executable file (example GAME.EXE), and the CFG
file (Example GAME.CFG) in the documentation from this
point on. GAMEDIR is used in place of the program directory
in the documentation from this point on.
1. Create a directory for the game:
example: "WC30\DOORS\GAMEDIR"
2. Make sure that ALL files listed above from the game package
are moved into that directory.
3. Edit the sample CFG file and make the apropriate changes and
save it as TGCWAIT.CFG. This is a normal ascii file and can
be edited with any text editor.
4. Where to put this file?
Put this file wherever you are running the game executable file
from. If you are running multi-node you could put a copy in each
node directory and run from there. If you change directory to
the GAME directory put the file there.
The Command Menu
----------------
B - Is to update/view whats happened on your Telegard BBS!
D - is to Disable/Enable the Screen Saver!
I - Is to Update/view whats happened with your Intermail!
Q - Quit to Dos
S - When the Screen saver is active this will jump right into
the Screen saver without waiting the timeout delay.
WHAT TO DO IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS
--------------------------------
Every effort is made to ensure that the game runs correctly
before it leaves my BBS as FreeWare. If you are experiencing
problems please do the following BEFORE calling me:
1. Read ALL the SYSOP.DOC to ensure you have setup the program
and have met all the program requirements.
Multinode use
-------------
This game supports multinode use and provides automatic
multi-tasker support (time slice releasing) for a wide variety
of multi-taskers.
CREDITS:
--------
This relatively small section is just to recognize the
GOOD people who have made this door a possibility.
Tim Strike - For creating Telegard, a Great BBS! Program
Keep up the good work Tim.
Peter Stewart - For creating Intermail.
Joe Burkowski - For pointing out some cosmetic problems,
and a few miner details that I forgot to
put into TGCWait, and for pointing out the
add for TPv7.0. And for being a good friend.
Theory
------
Well I wanted something that showed all the stats for my bbs and
mailer without having to load the bbs to check the stats on the bbs
so I wrote one for myself and before long Intermail was added to it.
Thats about it, besides have fun with it and I hope everyone enjoys it.
Conclusion
----------
This is release 1.00. It was written in about 3 weeks altogether.
I'm sure there are bugs, missing features, etc. Drop me a line by
Mail, BBS or Netmail.
Where to reach me
-----------------
I can usually be reached at my BBS system, which should be
listed in the section entitled "registration" which is below.
I also habitually monitor ALL door related echos in the FIDO
Net System.

Bug Reports/Comments/Suggestions
--------------------------------
I have made every attempt to make sure the game is free of bugs,
BUT the possibility always exists that one may have been missed
by me or the playtesters. If you find a bug, or have a
suggestion or comment to make which would make future versions
better please please send me mail Via, Snail Mail, Netmail, Or a
message on my BBS.
FIDO INFORMATION
----------------
My BBS supports file "freq"ing at 2400 baud or above. Just
call 1:227/504. I am always adding new things to my games
so most likely there will be a later version of the program
available on my BBS then the one you have. For a current
version of the game just freq the magic name "TGCWAIT".
For a list of ALL my files just freq "TGCFILES". If you
are a door game/program writer why not send me a copy of your
game/program? If you have a more current version of a door
then I have, please consider sending me a copy as a token of
your appreciation for the service I offer at NO cost to you.
Thanks!
